#movethedial Global Summit: Event Code of Conduct

At #movethedial, we seek to support all women-identified people looking to work or advance within the tech and innovation ecosystem.

We endeavour to create an event that welcomes everyone and works to remove barriers to participation in terms of accessibility, care needs, transportation, and dietary preferences.  We believe that diversity strengthens our communities, companies, and politics, and we strive to offer a safer and supportive environment for everyone in our community.

We will not tolerate any form of mistreatment, harassment, or violence towards attendees, event staff, volunteers, speakers, or Champions. If anyone at the event is engaging in any of the aforementioned behaviours, the event organizers are empowered to take any action they consider appropriate, including removing individuals from the event

We’ve provided our volunteers with a diversity and inclusion training package to support them on their allyship journeys.

Please report any harassment or unethical behaviour to event organizers or to our volunteers, who will be wearing purple t-shirts and located throughout the event. We will also have a support zone at our registration desk.

You can also call 647-458-7275 to reach our partner Dr. Sarah Saska on the day to report harassment and to gain support.  Dr. Saska is Co-Founder & CEO of Feminuity and well versed in diversity and inclusion efforts.

In the case of an emergency, please call 911 immediately.
