Director of SALES

We seek to #movethedial through building awareness, inspiring action, galvanizing & amplifying collective community and corporate efforts, and through delivering high impact programs.

Our business is scaling rapidly and we need an experienced Director of Sales to acquire and manage new client (ie. Corporate Partners, Sponsors, Community Patrons, etc.) relationships. The ideal candidate will have delivered on a quota and bring experience in enterprise (B2B) sales, ideally sponsorship sales, as well as skills related to strategic planning and analysis. In this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with both new and existing sponsors/partners, negotiating contracts and closing deals! We will rely on you to partner with our marketing team to conduct market research and develop a strategic business development plan, in addition to providing sales operations support to the CEO.

The Role:

  • Individual contributor role with the potential of growing into managerial position as the company grows

  • Prospecting and acquiring potential partners/sponsors/corporations/community organizations in our target market

  • Heavy focus on relationship building with new prospective clients, as well as existing ones

  • Partner with marketing and sponsorship teams to create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients

  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders

  • Close significant business tied to our key pillars of Summit, Stories and Connect (both sponsorship and B2B enterprise SaaS sales related deals)

  • Collaborate with Partnership Team to ensure contracted elements are executed on-time and as agreed

  • Help create internal sales infrastructure to build a sales team in the future

  • Become a subject matter expert on #movethedial’s key pillars and remain up-to-date on industry news

  • Own the CRM technology and lead best practices around sales funnel and technology adoption and usage

  • Reporting into the VP, Partnerships & Community or CEO
