Chief of Staff

We are looking for a Chief of Staff to the CEO to provide high-level support and serve as a trusted strategic advisor. The Chief of Staff will be involved in a broad range of critical activities including highly-strategic and tactical duties, and will also play a key role in helping the organization focus on and achieve its critical goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the CEO (and senior leadership team) in leading the continual planning process to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and maximize her effectiveness

  • Accompany CEO to critical meetings and/or serve as representative at meetings or functions the CEO is unable to attend

  • Serve as a liaison to key stakeholders and external parties on behalf of the CEO, including management team, investors, advisors, partners, and shareholders

  • Support the CEO in creating critical communications and correspondence as well as building presentation decks for speaking engagements

  • Lead strategic initiatives and special projects including research, event planning and preparation for speaking engagements as it relates to the CEO’s attendance & engagement

  • Support the CEO in the fostering numerous important and valued relationships in every way

  • Ensure the CEO is always working on the right initiatives, applying critical judgment. This includes owning and optimizing the CEO’s calendar and scheduling key meetings to enable the CEO to remain focused.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You are passionate about making a difference!

  • Prior professional experience in law, consulting or politics is an asset

  • You have relevant experience working as a Chief of Staff, Project Manager or similar role, supporting C-suite executives in a fast-paced, high growth setting

  • You have the ability to multitask and prioritize a heavy daily workload

  • You have excellent time management skills

  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Google Office Applications). Google calendar management is critical.

  • You are highly professional with experience and comfort liaising with executive-level contacts

  • You are comfortable with travel and at-times irregular hours related to events and engagement activities (ie. evenings)

  • High level of discretion, sensitivity and integrity are essential skills needed for this role

  • You have strong judgment skills and unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality

  • You have outstanding organizational skills with obsessive attention to detail

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
